Postdoctoral positions are available at Penn State College of Medicine with support from our NIH Training Grant, entitled “Viruses and Cancer”, which is now in its 22nd year of funding by the National Cancer Institute. There are numerous opportunities for training in virology or immunology within a highly collegial scientific environment. Our research programs are focused on virology, immunology, and oncology. Training grant program member labs (see list below) have abundant funding and strong track records in graduate and postdoctoral training. We are seeking individuals who are highly motivated and committed to an independent research career. Candidates must have: 1) a Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, virology, or immunology and 2) strong graduate research training, as demonstrated by first-authored publications. MD fellows may also apply. Individuals with no previous postdoctoral experience are preferred. Applicants (U.S. citizen/permanent resident status required for these T32 positions) should apply to include their curriculum vitae, an overview of their prior research experience and interests, as well as names of three references.
