Research Data Processor 3 needed to assist Sarah Kawasaki, MD, with research data collection and entry support for Addictions Research across 7 central PA counties, through data mining. Duties include: Review, collect, enter, clean, and reconcile research data from multiple health system interfaces, as well as from participant interviews, using a variety of software applications, including REDCap and SPSS. Provide recommendations for data collection, review, and entry processes. Administer grant-related questionnaires and interviews directly to patients/participants. Ensure accurate data recording into electronic databases. Review data collection instrument/process and identify problems; inform senior research technician/PI. Query databases to identify status/keep track of questionnaire timelines outlined per clinical care and research protocols. Ensure data integrity by ensuring data verification is completed and testing data entry process/design prior to full administration. Generate reports. Create and maintain procedures for study documentation regarding data collection, review, capture, and archive. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge/experience with SAS, SPSS, and/or REDCap, knowledge about addiction and opioid use disorder, and experience with navigating multiple health system interfaces and administration of structured patient interviews. Primary work site is Hershey Medical Center but transportation/travel required to Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute. Work hours: Monday through Friday, 8 am – 5 pm. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree in the social sciences or statistics preferred. This is a fixed term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with the possibility of re-funding.
