The Undersea Systems Office of the Applied Research Laboratory is in need of an Engineering Project Manager to assist with the planning and execution of several large multi-year programs. This position requires the successful candidate to work with program managers, control account managers, financial staff, scientists and engineers to plan and execute Department of Defense programs. Duties will include producing project schedules, tracking critical paths, monitoring the progress of technical work, working with program managers and control account managers to identify and resolve issues, and creating input for the generation of routine project reports. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management of Accounting that is well supported with technical work highly preferred. Limited travel will be required. Candidate selected may be subject to a government security investigation. U.S. Citizenship required. Other requirements are experience with project planning, estimation, scheduling, financial tracking, and project reporting for medium to large-size projects; strong written and verbal communication skills; and ability to work effectively with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders. This is a one year, fixed-term renewable appointment.
