Description

A Postdoctoral Scholar position is available in the Electrical Engineering Department, School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, at The Pennsylvania State University, University Park Campus, under the direction of Prof. Chris Giebink. This position focuses on research in organic photonics and organic light emitting diodes. Duties include designing and carrying out experiments, analyzing data, and presenting and reporting research results. Candidates must have a solid background in quantum mechanics, optics, and semiconductor physics. A Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a closely related area is required. The successful applicant must have the ability to work independently as well as in collaboration. He/she will be involved in collaborative research and is expected to document the research results in refereed journal publications and to present them at seminars, project meetings and conferences. He/she will be expected to contribute to the research agenda in reporting, research contributions and further funding opportunities.
