Description

The Consumer Services Information System (CSIS) Project is currently looking for an experienced Programmer/Analyst with strong skills in data management, programming and web-based applications. The CSIS Project is a policy research, development and technology transfer unit at Penn State in collaboration with Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission’s Bureau of Consumer Services. Responsibilities for the position include: review existing programming for data management and web interface, develop and improve programming, provide specialized support, perform corrective actions and documentation. The candidate must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills with attention to details, and analytical problem-solving skills. The individual will work closely with the project personnel and occasionally with the funding agency. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or data analysis and/or 5 years of work experience with SAS programming is preferred. Extensive experience with the following is preferred: SAS program source code (Base SAS, SAS Macros), writing JavaScript and an understanding of jQuery. Possess a proficiency with MS Windows desktop and Server operating environment; familiarity with Batch Files and PowerShell scripting; and a knowledge of PERL, Regular and Global Expressions. This is a part-time position with an on-going project with an excellent chance of renewal for the next fiscal year.
