Description

The Systems and Operations Automation Division at the Applied Research Laboratory is hiring a graduate student for a part-time position starting in the summer 2019 semester. The SOA Division focuses on the research, development, and prototyping of advanced automated systems, health management system technologies, and decision support tools for the Department of Defense, NASA, and other industry customers. The work will focus on software development in support of our customers. Candidates must be enrolled at Penn State as Graduate Students working towards advanced degrees in either Computer Science and Engineering or Information Sciences and Technology. The successful candidate will work up to 20 hours/week during the fall and spring semesters and 40 hours/week over the summer. Successful candidates typically have an undergraduate GPA of 3.5 or above during their junior and senior years. Candidate selected may be subject to a government security investigation. You must be a U.S. citizen to apply. Employment with the Applied Research Laboratory will require successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.
