Network, Computing, and Training Services in the College of Engineering has an opening for a highly motivated individual to join our Information Systems team in the development and preservation of web applications. The selected candidate will work in a highly collaborative team environment developing new solutions, as well as supporting and enhancing existing applications. This job will be filled as a level 2 or level 3, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 2. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. A comprehensive knowledge of University systems, including Human Resources, Student Services, and Financial systems, would be helpful. Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service are required. Candidates should be able to demonstrate their ability to meet project goals and document solutions. The ideal candidate would be proficient in HTML/CSS, Visual Basic, Microsoft SQL, ASP.NET, Microsoft Access, web applications, relational databases, and have a comprehensive understanding of data management and security principals. This is a fixed-term position funded for one year from date of hire, with excellent possibility of re-funding.
