The part-time Activities Coordinator is primarily responsible for the coordination, planning, development, and delivery of a wide variety of student activities that will enhance the co-curricular experience for a diverse student body in a collaborative, inclusive environment. This position is critical to providing our primarily commuting student population with a more “residential like” student experience. These initiatives and services include, but are not limited to; student activities, leadership development, Cultural Series and may serve on campus committees as well as directly support service learning and volunteer-based programs. Will coordinate campus participation in regional programming events with a strong emphasis on the Penn State in Pittsburgh series. The Activities Coordinator will assist the Director of Student Affairs to oversee all fiscal aspects of student organizations including the program registration process for all recognized student organizations, co-advise the Student Government Association and serve as the primary advisor to the Campus Activities Board (CAB). Responsibilities include marketing and publicity for student programming including social media/web and the processing of performance/speaker contracts. Typically requires a Master`s degree or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, programming, communication and budget management skills. This position is a part-time short-term position that will require evening and weekend availability and necessitate that you operate a motor vehicle as part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check in addition to standard background checks is required.
