Description

The Office of Student Activities is seeking diverse and culturally competent candidates committed to fostering exploration, campus and community engagement, and the development of students through educational and experiential opportunities. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong program planning, advising, facilitation and communication skills. The Program Coordinator reports to the Assistant Director for Campus Programming and is responsible for coordinating social and educational programs and supporting student organizations programming efforts in a collaborative and inclusive environment. This includes interpreting and applying University policy, managing risk, issuing contracts, providing student trainings, and building partnerships across the University. This position serves as the primary advisor to The Student Programming Association, a campus activities board. The successful candidate will advise this organization in planning events relevant to their mission, while fostering an organizational culture that promotes leadership development and enhances co-curricular learning. Additionally, they will share supervisory responsibilities for a Graduate Assistant. This position will conduct interviews, in part, during The Placement Exchange (TPE); please include a TPE candidate number with your application materials if applicable. Typically requires a Master's degree or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This position may require that you operate a motor vehicle as part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks. Willingness and ability to work flexible hours to support night and weekend activities is required.
