Description

Student Engagement and Leadership Office is seeking undergraduate students to serve in the Orientation Leader role for the summer of 2019 for the New Student Orientation program to benefit new domestic students that have committed to attending Penn State Abington. Orientation Leaders play an integral role in the Orientation program and process. Orientation Leaders will: Facilitate small to mid-size groups; present valuable information about campus life and Penn State systems such as LionPath, Webmail, Canvas, etc.; serve as a college para-professional and an extension of the Student Affairs Division staff; showcase campus pride, enthusiasm, and approachability. Other duties as assigned by the Coordinator of NSO and Transition Programs. Requirements: Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75, cannot be on disciplinary probation, and must meet with the Career and Professional Development Office for resume and cover letter review and a mock interview. Applicants must continue to abide by The Pennsylvania State University Code of Conduct. Applicants must attend all of the Orientation Leader training program and attend all Orientation days, arrive on time, and stay for the duration of the day. These dates were discussed in the Information Sessions. Applications, resumes and cover letters are required for consideration.
