Description

Work under the supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI) on sponsored research projects in cancer biology and translational oncology/pathology. Create and maintain accurate databases, including clinical databases for translational projects and laboratory databases for basic science projects, in compliance with privacy laws and requirements by our Institutional Review Board. Organize and manage research materials, including glass microscope slides and tissue samples. Transport materials to and from collaborating laboratories. Participate in meetings with PI, and regularly report progress with ongoing projects. The successful candidate will be expected to exhibit individual initiative, working independently; have strong written and verbal communication skills; work well in a collegial environment with diverse collaborators; be technically accurate; and possess attention to detail. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or high school education (some college preferred) with 1-2 years of experience in healthcare or the laboratory. This is a non-except (hourly) position.
