The Administrative Support Assistant 4 for Health Promotion and Wellness (HPW) will conduct administrative work for the office. HPW, a unit within Student Affairs, provides health promotion services, programs and health communication materials for a diverse group of students at University Park. The position will serve as an Office Manager and will manage the day-to-day operations of the office. The Assistant will provide administrative support to the Director and other office staff. This includes responsibility for: budgeting, managing calendars, scheduling, coordinating meetings, arranging travel, answering the phones, general email, and welcoming visitors. This position supervises one Administrative Assistant 2 and one Work-Study student. The Assistant will administer budgets; authorize processing of payments via university system databases; and administer payroll for wage employees and work study. This position will assist with the design and production of publications and maintain websites and social media. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in a vibrant and fast-paced work environment necessitating strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills is preferred. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills are essential. Requires experience using internal and external financial accounting/tracking programs and Microsoft Office based productivity programs. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrate a genuine appreciation of working with diverse audiences, be guided by ethical decision-making, and demonstrate the ability to be a flexible and collaborative team member.
