Description

We are seeking a Nurse Interventionist for the Philadelphia area and western suburbs. A NIH -funded study is seeking a Nurse to provide education to patient and family caregivers and works with them to develop a plan for functional recovery in the hospital and conduct telephone post-acute follow-up to the family caregivers. The Nurse Interventionist also provides education to hospital staff, documents interactions with sites using study intervention forms, participates in interventionist team meetings, and collaborates with the PI to prepare reports. This position requires a bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred). Previous experience providing clinical dementia care or educational activities to acute care staff from a holistic and person-centered perspective is required. A successful applicant will possess excellent problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills. Expertise in, and a love of, working with people living with dementia and their family is a must. This individual must be able to act independently and as a member of a management team.
