Description

Provide daily point-of-contact for the PADM programs (MPA and Ph.D.) and HADM programs (HPA, and HMA), the program heads, the admissions committee and the faculty. Assist program heads in processing online and residential graduate applications and respond to inquiries from current and prospective students. Compose correspondence, maintain calendars, schedule meetings and conference calls and provide general administrative support for programs. Coordinate travel plans for program faculty and prepare travel reimbursement through ERS. Coordinate and arrange travel and agenda for prospective faculty. Attend program meetings and prepare minutes. Work with the Administrative Support Coordinator in managing program. Administer and organize program course scheduling, student paperwork and correspondence with Graduate School for Masters and Ph.D. programs in addition to the HPA Baccalaureate program. Create and maintain files, databases and reports; prepare, process, and review forms for accreditation purposes with NASPAA. Support other programs and School operations as required and time allows. Please submit cover letter and resume. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate must be able to set priorities and handle multiple projects with high attention to detail while working under limited supervision. Candidates should be technologically savvy with proficiency in multiple software packages, including MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat DC. Familiarity with Penn State systems such as LionPATH, CANVAS, CollegeNET, IBIS, and ERS are desirable. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire.
