The Center for Engineering Outreach and Inclusion at The Pennsylvania State University (University Park, PA) is seeking up to four fixed-term Academic Facilitators for the Jump Start Math and Physics Enhancement Bridge program that will run from May 13 to June 7, 2019. Jump Start participants are current Penn State Engineering rising sophomore students. Candidates must have in-depth knowledge and understanding of one or more of the following courses: Math 141, Math 250, Physics 211 or Physics 212. Academic facilitators will be responsible for assisting course instructors in curriculum design. Introducing new material and promoting the concept of independent learning to program students, assisting program students in the development of strategies in independent learning, identifying resources and strategies that ensure academic success, and providing learning support and tutoring. Candidates must have the appropriate academic credentials and relevant subject matter expertise. Applicants need to submit a resume and cover letter indicating which course you are interested in facilitating.
