The Professional Personnel Development Center for Career and Technical Education (CTE) invites applicants for full time instructors beginning July 1, 2019. Instructors will provide field-based teacher preparation and supervision of new CTE teachers pursuing state Vocational Instructional I certification. Successful candidates also can expect to assist colleagues planning professional development events, make professional presentations at state CTE conferences, and hold weekly office hours at University Park. Work will be performed both individually and as part of a team at central PA secondary schools, on campus, and on line. Required qualifications include: A Pennsylvania Vocational Instructional II certificate or equivalent; A minimum of three years teaching experience in career and technical (vocational) education; A valid driver`s license. In order to be considered for this position, the candidate must be enrolled, or have intent to enroll, in full-time graduate or undergraduate degree studies in Workforce Education and Development. Practicing teachers eligible for educational leave-of-absence from their professional positions are encouraged to apply. Dates of employment will be July 1, 2019-June 30, 2020, with a high likelihood of refunding. The Professional Personnel Development Center is affiliated with the Workforce Education and Development Program in the College of Education.
