The Functional Business Analyst is a member of the WorkLion Management Office (WMO), responsible for ongoing support and development of the Workday Human Capital Management and Payroll system including business process analysis, functional design, testing, training, communication, documentation, implementation and support. The successful candidate will serve as the WMO partner supporting the stakeholders in the Core HR area and will include Compensation, Job Classification, Job Profiles, and all business processes related to the employee lifecycle - Hire, Add Job, Change Job, Switch Job, End Job, Termination. As a consultative partner, the functional business analyst will work with stakeholder offices to gather, analyze, and document business requirements and assist with the translation into technical requirements, resulting in customer satisfaction and operational efficiencies. The Functional Business Analyst will utilize the Workday technology to assist in the rapid and thorough resolution of production issues to resolve tickets. Additionally, they will serve as the Workday expert to support business units, by designing and maintaining system configurations; creating and executing detailed test plans and validating Business Process changes in Workday. This individual will document business requirement changes and create detailed functional requirements for changes to configuration, integrations and reports; they will support planning and analysis for Workday version updates, execute testing, update training materials, support communication. The Functional Business Analyst will utilize data to support business initiatives and decisions through compiling data, generating reports and formulating and defining system scope and objectives. The successful candidate will lead small scale or sub-functional teams for planning and implementing Workday cloud enhancements and solution expansions; new enterprise systems support and business process improvement projects; and mapping current and future business processes. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The preferred candidate will have experience working in Human Resources for bargaining unit employees, exempt staff, non-exempt staff, and part-time hourly employees for a large organization. In addition, in-depth knowledge of the HCM area of Workday is desired. Key competencies for success in this position include the ability to thrive in a team-based environment and understand the inter-dependencies for all Workday functional areas. Additionally, understanding and performing elements of standard project management methodology is strongly desired. Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with HR, payroll, IT and other stakeholder groups are desired. The ability to accurately collect information in order to understand and assess business needs as well as communicate technology concepts effectively with technically proficient and non-technically proficient individuals is also preferred.
