The College of Nursing seeks candidates for the position of Education Program Associate 2 for the College’s Outreach department. The primary duties for this position include direct support for the Assistant Dean for Online Education and Outreach and faculty/instructors that teach in our Continuing Education/World Campus courses; coordinating various meetings online and in person for the Assistant Dean and faculty with internal and external partners; assisting with creative program development based upon needs assessment and current healthcare environment; identifying, developing, delivering and evaluating a wide variety of educational programs and related materials for our nursing outreach program, primarily non-credit continuing education programs; supporting logistics and supply management for faculty and programs, including computer access, arranging classrooms and lab space, and ordering/mailing course books/materials; involved with planning and coordinating marketing for educational programs and services; working with the College’s Marketing Specialist and Multimedia Specialist to keep the Outreach program’s website up-to-date; collecting data and preparing/submitting various reports and spreadsheets; submitting all travel expenditures for the Outreach office through the University’s ERS system; developing and managing budgets for individual programs and services to meet assigned income and program targets; working with Human Resources Shared Services to submit required forms for new faculty and current faculty; prepare/send independent contractor agreements and obtain proper compliance information for CON files; managing PSNA certification, filing and annual reports; working with other staff to assure compliance and Continuing Education credits and certificates are awarded; and, performing other duties as assigned to assist with the College’s undergraduate, graduate, and outreach programs. In addition, this position will require travel outside of the University to promote programs and recruit potential sites/students for the College’s Continuing Education/World Campus programs along with required attendance at various Outreach programs, including those held on nights and weekends. ( Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication and self-management skills, ability to maintain confidentiality and accurate record keeping are essential. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, Survey tools, and Program Registration and Tracking portals is required. Work site is University Park, PA. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
