Description

The College of the Liberal Arts Financial Office is seeking a Financial Assistant to gather, compile and process employee and non-employee travel reimbursements through the Employee Reimbursement System (ERS); assist and resolve department questions on ERS, and verify all related financial/visa documents for domestic and international travel. Process electronic documents utilizing the Penn State financial system (IBIS) to properly track, report, and monitor assigned budgets. Reconcile purchasing card transactions and direct bill charges ensuring compliance on all college levels. Maintain CRFN screens. Responsible for imaging all purchasing card transactions into Docfinity. Provide customer service and advise faculty and staff regarding spending and account balances. Process documentation for petty cash reimbursement. Provide support to other Financial Office staff as backup. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. IBIS experience preferred. Knowledge of University policies and procedures, and experience with ERS, Excel, IBIS, FIT preferred. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills essential; requires strict confidentiality and the ability to manage a large volume of time sensitive work. Excellent communication skills both orally and written and shared vision for team goals.
