Description

The College of the Liberal Arts Financial Office is seeking a Financial Assistant to perform pay and effort functions for part-time academic (formerly FT2) appointments and prepare and submit payroll transfers. Gather, compile and process employee and non-employee travel reimbursements through the Employee Reimbursement System (ERS); assist and resolve department questions on ERS, verify all related financial/visa documents for domestic and international travel for two regions. Process electronic documents utilizing the PSU financial system (IBIS) for two regions and direct bill charges ensuring compliance on all college levels. Reconcile purchasing card transactions and image into Docfinity. Act as Area Security Representative for the College (ASR), monitor faculty information in the State Mandated Collection System (SMCS) and balance the College INTLA scholarship and awards account monthly. Process documentation for Petty Cash reimbursement and purchase supplies for the Financial Office and maintain pre-numbered receipt log. Responsible for answering the phone and providing support to other Financial Office staff as backup. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. IBIS experience preferred. Knowledge of University policies and procedures, and experience with ERS, Excel, IBIS, FIT preferred. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills essential; requires strict confidentiality and the ability to manage a large volume of time sensitive work. Excellent communication skills both orally and written and shared vision for team goals.
