Applications are invited for a two-year Postdoctoral Scholar position at The Pennsylvania State University, Department of Sociology and Criminology, to begin August 1, 2019. In this position, the Scholar would be expected to conduct independent and collaborative research with a focus on child maltreatment, childhood adversity, the child protective services system, and/or the foster care population. Responsibilities would include data management and analysis, grant preparation, and manuscript preparation. Required Qualifications include; Doctoral degree to be completed no later than August 1, 2019 in Sociology, Criminology, Human Development, Social Welfare, Social Work, Public Policy, or a related human services field, Research interests in child maltreatment, child welfare, or related areas, experience with quantitative analysis and strong writing skills. Additional Preferred Qualifications include Research and/or professional experience related to child protection/foster care systems or child maltreatment and experience cleaning and analyzing administrative data.
