Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) – University Park is seeking a self-motivated and energetic individual to join our team as a Record and Technology Specialist. This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong commitment to inclusion and teamwork. Working in collaboration with and reporting to the Associate Director, Operations, the Records Specialist will attend to service integrity and manage administration of the Titanium Schedule electronic record system and other on-line mediums at University Park and the 21 Commonwealth Campuses. The Records Specialist will understand policies and procedures related to records management and will act as a lead resource to CAPS in administering Titanium Schedule. This will include developing a record management maintenance system and resolving problems by researching issues and making recommendations to resolve student record concerns. Responsibilities will include setting up and programming EMR accounts, responding to specific problems generated by users, participating in testing, analyzing processing issues, troubleshooting problems, data management and inquiries, and training/support of staff utilizing the EMR and other systems. The individual will be expected to gain an advanced knowledge and understanding of Titanium Schedule, adjunctive procedures, and CAPS records procedures. This position will be responsible for managing electronic record and report requests and information management generated at UP and the other campuses. Responsibilities will also include assisting with on line wellness platforms, on line dictation, and distance connection tools. The Records Specialist serves as liaison with UP and other campus IT staff and counselors. Additional responsibilities include assisting supervisor with the resolution of problems, research issues, administering policies and procedures, and answering questions from counselors and staff. Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree preferred. Required experience with electronic medical record systems. The ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with mental health clinicians regarding technical issues is required. Attention to detail, exceptional problem solving abilities, and collaboration skills are required.
