Description

The Abington SGA makes recommendations concerning the general welfare of the student body to the University Administration, the Abington College Faculty Senate, the University Faculty Senate, the Abington College Administration, the Advisory Board, and The Council of Commonwealth Student Governments. The Student Government Association (SGA) represents the student body of Penn State Abington and is composed of elected officers and representatives. SGA Treasurer duties include preparing the budget for the financial year, ensuring smooth and timely disbursement of funds for purchases and expenses incurred, and coordination with different projects to ensure disbursement of their budgets in a timely manner. SGA Treasurer also includes managing the SGA Budget Committee (comprised of students) which reviews student organization funding proposals and makes recommendations to approve/deny funding.
