The Hospitality Services Specialist ensures standards of continuous quality are met and provides front-end initial leadership for outstanding customer service at Campus Catering; advise customers on developing event plans, including sequence of events, layout of spaces, equipment rentals, and menus; meet with customers and/or facility contacts regarding products and services; resolve issues and make recommendations within the client’s budget; generate event work orders and communicate with management team; monitor organizational service levels, and standards; maintain documentation through applicable software programs to track performance and to assist in business development efforts; communicate designated rates; receive, record budget/payment information; develop ongoing client relationships to foster future business/revenue opportunities; maximize revenue by promoting internal services, and up-selling products and services; serve as the point of contact for real-time adjustments or changes; support catering operations as determined by General Manager; may interview, train, and direct the work of other support staff, students and wage payroll personnel; may require weekend work as business levels require. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
