The Office for Digital Learning in the College of Engineering is searching for an Instructional Production Specialist to join our growing learning design team. The successful candidate will collaborate with other team members and faculty to provide specialized support in the production of online and digital course materials. Typical tasks include training faculty on the use of the College’s live lecture capture systems, coordinating their usage of the technology by monitoring the live lecture recordings, and troubleshooting technical issues as appropriate. In addition, this position will be responsible for managing the ODL repeat online course portfolio each semester performing tasks such as merging course sections in Canvas, replicating and updating all course components and verifying and configuring any third-party courseware tools in the courses as needed. The Instructional Production Specialist will also partner with the Instructional Designers on a variety of tasks related to new online course development. These tasks include creating and updating online course pages in Canvas and reviewing courses for compliance with accessibility standards. Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience using a learning management system, such as Canvas, is required, as well as familiarity with HTML and CSS. We are looking for an individual who is an effective multi-tasker and who thrives in a team-oriented environment. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing is essential along with the desire to provide excellent customer service. The successful candidate must have good time management skills while working on multiple projects. The willingness to learn new and emerging technologies and processes is required. This is a fixed term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of refunding.
