The Department of Mathematics is seeking to fill a Teaching Professor position (at the rank of Lecturer, Assistant Teaching Professor, Associate Teaching Professor, or full Teaching Professor pending qualifications), who will serve as the Calculus Coordinator. This position is responsible for the overall administration of Math 140, 140E, and Math 141, 141E. Responsibilities include providing guidance and mentoring to all teaching faculty; organizing and presenting start-of-semester teaching faculty meetings, as well as multiple meetings during the semester. The Calculus Coordinator will write syllabi for each course, generate semester timelines to staff and teaching faculty, and oversee development of all exams. The successful candidate will compute and distribute exam statistics. Additional responsibilities include addressing teaching faculty and student concerns, as well as handling all instances of academic dishonesty. The successful candidate will carry a teaching load and must have an expertise in teaching calculus. This position will report directly to the Associate Head of Undergraduate Studies and work closely with the Undergraduate Office Staff. Competency with LateX, Office 365, Google Drive, and Canvas strongly preferred. A Ph.D. in mathematics is preferred. Excellent mathematical competence beyond the subject of Math 140/141 is essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong sense of collegiality and ability to work with students, faculty, and staff.
