Description

Penn State Human Resources is seeking an Talent Acquisition Specialist. This position will report to Penn State Human Resources, Manager of Talent Acquisition and will be embedded in the Division of Development and Alumni Relations (DDAR). The Talent Acquisition Specialist works in tandem with the Director of Talent Management and Associate Director of Talent Acquisition (also embedded in DDAR), as well as with partners in multiple development offices, and Penn State HR, in executing a comprehensive recruiting strategy to bring the nation’s top fundraising professionals to Penn State. The position will collaborate with Talent Acquisition team members to evaluate and streamline processes and develop innovative recruitment strategies to create diverse high-quality candidate pools based on current and future University needs; and develop communications, presentations, and reports. With an entrepreneurial and service-oriented approach, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will also: proactively source and recruit a robust and diverse talent pool to meet current and future hiring needs; assist in assessing and interviewing candidates; consider core processes for each facet of TA and revise, update, or create, as needed; reinforce consulting-based approach: centrally-managing candidate activity, sharing recruiting and hiring best practices, ensuring sponsorship, awareness, and support of key stakeholders, creating appropriate offers of compensation; and provide guidance to hiring managers and HR professionals on recruitment policies, procedures, and best practices; investigate, analyze, and resolve recruitment-related issues; ensure compliance with University policy and applicable State and Federal laws; and investigate and resolve routine to intermediate inquiries, coordinating with respective departments and referring complex situations to appropriate contact. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
