Description

The Biology Department is seeking a Financial Assistant to process electronic and paper accounting documents; reconcile purchasing card transactions; resolve direct bills through CRFN and obtain required backup documentation; submit purchase orders/standing orders and monitor account balances; resolve eBuy orders and other purchases; issue receipts for cash received and process cash reports (ROCR). The person selected for this position will frequently process travel reimbursements of varying levels of complexity in ERS, run financial reports to retrieve budget balances for faculty, and serve as backup for co-workers as needed. The successful candidate will be expected to keep up-to-date with current policies and procedures of the department. The ability to work both independently and as a member of a team is essential, along with strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to multi-task. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with initiating the hiring of wage payroll employees through Worklion is preferred. Experience with eBuy, ERS, IBIS, MS Excel, and FIT; along with Worklion, and Workday is preferred.
