The Penn State World Campus Bursar Office is searching for an Accountant 2 to work in a fast paced student-centric office. It takes extraordinary accuracy, a remarkable attention to detail, the ability to work in a team based environment as well as be able to provide exceptional customer service to our variety of units. If this sounds like you, then we encourage you to apply. A successful candidate must be a self-starter who enjoys communicating by phone and email to our online students. Candidate must have financial/accounting/bookkeeping experience, and a strong background in Accounts Receivable, and proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of applications. Responsibilities include preforming various account reconciliations, recognizing discrepancies and suggesting appropriate corrective actions, and analyzing for accuracy and completeness on both student accounts and corporate accounts. Critical skills for this position include being proactive, the ability to manage multiple priorities, use sound judgment and analytical thinking skills. The successful applicant should possess exemplary interpersonal skills and demonstrate a genuine appreciation for working with diverse audiences. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
