Description

The Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State is looking for an experienced Financial Coordinator to assist our technical offices in post-award management and contract closeout backlog. Responsibilities include: Post-award management, to include developing and providing monthly reports on status of funds, monitoring of Level of Effort (LOE), manpower planning, review of Fabricated Equipment Questionnaire (FEQ) capital purchases, make adjustments, resolve deficits, and report hours; ensure compliance to University policy and procedures, as well as with contract requirements, and advise customers and sponsors; assist with the management of financial requirements for contract close-out; provide support to the Principal Investigator (PI) to ensure verification of financial information; manage contract requirements and specific sponsor reporting requirements; develop and provide other various reports and supporting schedules as required; and provide updates to the Office Business Manager (OBM), PI, and Office Head. Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher plus eight years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A degree in Accounting, Business Management, or Finance is desired. Experience with project management and project costing on government contracts is preferred. Experience with Arlink and IBIS is also preferred. Experience in accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis is required. Good verbal and written communication skills and customer service skills are required. Candidates selected will be subject to a government security investigation. You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply.
