Description

The research technologist position has the primary purpose of developing, managing, and implementing all integral functions important to the success of both basic science 80%, and clinical research 20% projects in the Anesthesiology Department. Basic science duties include technical and experimental design, tissue culture, microbiology, molecular biology techniques, Flow Cytometry, maintenance of specialized research lab equipment and operations, IACUC compliance and animal models, budget management for lab supplies, and Bio-safety, COM, and University Compliance. Clinical duties include protocol development and feasibility, IRB submissions, patient recruitment and consent, REDCAP data management, and lab data quantification and analysisThe research technologist position has the primary purpose of developing, managing, and implementing all integral functions important to the success of both basic science 80%, and clinical research 20% projects in the Anesthesiology Department. This is a fixed term appointment funded one year from date of hire with the possibility of refunding.
