Penn State Scranton is looking for a Cocurricular Program Coordinator who will serve as a liaison between community agencies, admissions, academic programs, and career services. This 12-month position plays a key role in coordinating community student engagement through various volunteer opportunities while also working closely with career services and community agencies to prepare Penn State Scranton students for their internship experiences. A key attribute of this position is the ability to foster relationships with students, colleagues, internship locations, families and other key influencers. Applicants must submit resume and cover letter with application to This job will be filled as a level 3, or level 4, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Master's degree or higher in counseling or related discipline or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 3. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, written, oral, etc) are essential, and the ability to speak multiple languages is highly preferred. The candidate should have a demonstrated experience managing multiple projects/assignments, an attentiveness to broad vision, and possess strong project management skills. The candidate should have a demonstrated knowledge and understanding of student development with the ability to form strong advising, mentoring, and working relationships with students of diverse backgrounds. Strong knowledge and appreciation of diversity and a sincere commitment to social justice and equality is expected. This is a fixed term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of refunding.
