Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics is seeking candidates for the position of Director of High School Relations for the football program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: oversee the recruiting internship program, direct the team camp and coaching clinics, assist coaching staff with the evaluation and recruitment of all in-state prospects, assist with the operation of all unofficial and official visits including all game day recruiting events, coordinate the evaluation of verbally committed prospects high school transcripts to determine NCAA initial eligibility, coordinate the football program’s evaluation and recruitment of run-on candidates from the high school ranks, and serve as staff’s liaison to the Pennsylvania State Football Coaches Association. This position will report to the Director of Player Personnel. This job will be filled as a level 4, or level 5, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 4. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. Required competencies include: proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; XOS Digital, and Hudl; Recruiting Radar; Teamworks; self-management and self-direction; strong written and verbal communication skills. This position requires successful completion of three publicly available background checks. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
