Description

The Undergraduate Admissions Office has multiple openings for Functional Business Process Analysts. The primary purpose of this position is to improve, oversee and manage undergraduate admissions business processes which are critical to building a talented and diverse class across the 20 Penn State undergraduate campuses. This position will support the office's functional business processes throughout the admissions cycle. These processes leverage enterprise systems such as CRM, CMS, MyPennState, LionPATH, a document imaging system, The Common Application, and Coalition Application, etc. Primary responsibilities include: business process analysis and documentation; working with stakeholders to develop and review detailed functional specifications; system/application configuration; monitor, troubleshoot, debug and modify processes and procedures as needed; creating detailed test plans and performing tests; training material development and user training; report development; working with external organizations, vendors, and other Penn State units maintaining systems used by the Undergraduate Admissions Office; may supervise and lead a small team; and other duties as assigned. The following qualifications are highly preferred: Knowledge of Penn State Undergraduate Admissions procedures; effective customer service and communication skills; experience in eliciting business process requirements; excellent organizational and time management skills; strong conceptual, analytical, and problem solving skills; ability to learn new concepts and processes quickly, ability to communicate technical concepts effectively with others at all levels of technical proficiency; ability to understand and analyze data to recognize system or data anomalies/problems and suggest corrective actions. Knowledge of Slate, Mura content management, PeopleSoft Campus Solutions is highly desirable. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
