Description

Penn State Human Resources is searching for an HR Analytics Consultant to join the newly formed Operational Excellence team. This team is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality HR programs and services by using technology and data to increase user experiences and improve overall efficiency of the operation. The HR Analytics Consultant will help drive the strategy for the Data Analytics team to ensure data provides valuable insights into the organization and can be used in the development, implementation, and evaluation of HR strategies, programs, and policies in support of the University's goals. Responsibilities include: utilizing data, metrics and trend analysis to make recommendations for process improvements or the creation of new programs and services that address business needs; using various sources of data to uncover meaningful patterns and make recommendations that are informed and supported by data; assisting in the development of Key Performance Indicators for the HR Organization; developing reports and scorecards to measure achievement of goals and strategies; monitoring new initiatives, programs, and processes and provide success metrics; and building analytical capability of HR partners through guidance, consultation, and training. This job will be filled as a level 3, or level 4, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 3. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. The successful candidate must have demonstrated proficiency utilizing statistical tools and forecasting methods. Competencies in the following areas will be required: strong quantitative and analytical skills; creativity and innovation; exceptional deductive and inductive reasoning; and a commitment to fostering diversity and equal opportunity. Individuals with an understanding of Human Resources data and systems strongly preferred. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
