Description

The Pennsylvania State University, Center for Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), University Park, seeks a Clinical Service Provider for University students with psychological concerns. Position start date is August 6, 2019. Responsibilities include providing screening/triage services for students, short-term individual and group therapy, crisis evaluation and intervention, and outreach and/consultation services. Typically requires a Master's degree or higher in Social Work or related discipline or higher, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with college student mental health services, primary-care based interventions, and community mental health are strongly preferred. Licensed eligible as a Clinical Social Worker or Professional Counselor required, Penn State CAPS values a focus on self-examination and embraces a philosophy respectful of diversity and inclusion. Pittsburgh and Philadelphia are 3 to 4 hours from State College and Baltimore is about 3 hours. State College and the university provide the major intellectual cultural and recreational resources for central Pennsylvania. This is a fixed-term position with a 75% to 100% full time job equivalency (FTE) available, which will be determined with the successful applicants. Typical schedules range from 30-40 hours weekly or 40 hours per week with months off. Full Penn State benefits are included.
