Perform a variety of customer service responsibilities which may include a combination of the following: Serve as first-line contact for all customers (guests, clients, faculty, staff, students, vendors, etc). Respond to routine customer questions and/or needs, provide appropriate response/service for situation; refer to other department(s) / unit(s) as appropriate. May process a variety of financial transactions and maintain inventories. Operate various equipment and computer systems. Report unusual situations or concerns to appropriate personnel. Provide general office and administrative support to include filing, answering the phone and answering emails. Receive, sort and distribute mail. Demonstrate baseline working knowledge of routine work applications; follow standard principles and systems and use appropriate terminology associated with a particular field of specialization; participate as a team member in a collaborative environment within a diverse workforce. Full Penn State benefits included. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This is a 9 month, 75% full-time equivalency (FTE) job. Will work mid-August through mid-May. Hours will vary based on the time of year and needs of the operation. Tentative schedule will be Sunday through Thursday, 10:30am – 7:00pm; days off are Friday and Saturday. Full Penn State benefits included.
