The Office of Information Security is seeking a highly motivated, technology-oriented individual to fill a Systems Administrator 4 position within its Identity and Access Management (IAM) program. The IAM Applications team is responsible for enterprise applications that manage and protect digital identities at the University, including authentication and directory systems. This position is responsible for the administration of application software and services that provide identity and access management for Penn State concentrating on the University’s Enterprise Active Directory (EAD) service and related technologies. Duties include overall system design, configuration, administration, monitoring, ensuring proper operation and application-level security, in accordance with vendor and community best practices; writing and managing related documentation; mentoring or guiding less-experienced specialized staff; and participating in related University IT communities. This position participates in a 24x7x365 on-call rotation. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus eight years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with CyberArk is a plus. The successful candidate will have the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team; possess strong problem-solving skills; enthusiastically learn new skills and technologies; handle multiple priorities with close attention to detail; and possess excellent oral and written communication skills allowing interaction with both technical and non-technical audiences. Requires experience with administration of Microsoft Active Directory in an enterprise environment and advanced PowerShell skills.
