Penn State Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) is seeking a Marketing and Communications Specialist with an emphasis on graphic design and creative who will assist with promotional communications and event planning and execution. Duties and responsibilities include: Design and create promotional collateral (web-based, print, and video, for example). Support, coordinate, and perform assigned tasks related to communications strategy of the Institute and its associated programs and projects. Assist in presentation and creative work. Respond to external and internal inquiries. Communicate with suppliers, vendors and other University offices as necessary. Meet regularly with the CTSI Marketing Manager to help identify and/or communicate issues, feedback, needs, and department activities. Assist with the development and presentation of educational and promotional materials. Coordination of events including lectures and seminars. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is required. The qualified candidate will be creative; have demonstrable graphic design skills; be detail oriented; communicate clearly and accurately, both verbally and in writing; demonstrate strong planning and organizational skills; and participate in, and support, team decisions and team responsibilities. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher , or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
