The Environment and Natural Resources Institute (ENRI) is a service unit within Penn State’s College of Agricultural Sciences. Our mission is to champion, facilitate, and catalyze a culture of excellence in interdisciplinary research, education, and outreach on high priority environmental issues. The Institute seeks applications for an Administrative Support Coordinator 3 position. Primary responsibilities include managing the operations of ENRI and the Agriculture and Environment Center (AEC) and the Environmental Resource Management Program (ERM) which are located within the Institute. Responsibilities include preparing financial and operational reports, monitoring budgetary matters, and assisting with preparation of short- and long-range budget plans; manage and perform operational activities in the office, develop processes and procedures, coordinate and maintain schedules and calendars of meetings, appointments and special events; coordinate travel arrangements, including international, for faculty, staff and students; serves as resource regarding word processing, database, graphic presentation, curricular and spreadsheet software issues; assist with establishing and participate in engaged scholarship opportunities for students and assist in devising and implementing plans for student enrichment activities; maintain collaborative relations across the University to provide opportunities for students; assist as primary back-up for New Student Orientation program. Duties may also include supervising work study students/interns. Other office-related assignments include maintaining web and social media sites, listservs, and email databases; answer and screen phone calls, process mail, order supplies, and reserve vehicles. Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Successful applicants will be highly self-motivated and able to work efficiently under minimal direction and supervision. Occasional travel may be expected. Excellent knowledge of iTwo, LionPath, CollegeNet, Faculty Enlight, CSRS, CRCS and eSteward is a plus. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
