Description

The Pennsylvania State University, Center for Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), University Park, PA has four Psychologist 2 positions starting August 6, 2019. Duties include individual and group psychotherapy, initial consultations and triage, assessment, outreach and consultation, and crisis intervention. These positions are intended to focus on accruing supervised clinical hours for licensure as a psychologist. Penn State CAPS values a focus on self-examination and embraces a philosophy respectful of diversity and inclusion. CAPS strives to build a diverse, multicultural staff capable of meeting the needs of all of our students. Typically requires a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. APA accredited training/internship, and counseling center experience preferred. Preference is given to candidates who have experience providing services to diverse populations, such as, but not limited to: underrepresented students, international students, and LGBT students. State College, PA, a university town with a population of 105,000 (which includes the State College borough and surrounding townships), was recently cited as one of the top university towns in the United States. Pittsburgh and Philadelphia are 3 to 4 hours from State College and Baltimore is about 3 hours. State College and the University provide the major intellectual, cultural and recreational resources for central Pennsylvania.
