Description

The Office of Physical Plant Energy and Engineering Division is seeking a candidate to support Utility Services. The position includes reviewing the various assets for each utility, aide in defining asset maintenance strategies, reviewing work orders, and support training activities of the various users on the Computerized Maintenance Management System (Maximo). It also includes reviewing various Utility database information and aiding in efficiencies in data collection and reporting. Candidates must be willing to do field work that includes, but is not limited to, visiting buildings to understand how the equipment operates and assisting with the maintenance strategy. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to understand the data inputted into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (Maximo) and other Utility usage information. This will include reviewing maintenance trends and usage information and make recommendations to maintenance, operational procedures, and/or data collection methods. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates must have a background in Utility System operations such as High Voltage Electric Distribution, Chilled Water Production and Distribution, Water Production and Distribution, oSanitary Collection and Treatment, or Steam Production and Distribution. Must have excellent computer skills and be familiar with Computerized Maintenance Management Database Systems and the statistical reports that can be created. Candidate should also have the ability to communicate clearly, the ability to translate complex information for a variety of audiences, and ability to perform various tasks independently.
