The DeGraff Lab at The Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine (PSUCOM) in Hershey, PA, is recruiting an outstanding technician to work in a goal focused, team oriented environment to apply their knowledge in the areas of urologic oncology research. This technician position in the Departments of Pathology and Urology provide an excellent, well-funded environment to conduct these studies. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Animal work experience is a plus, but not required. We are seeking a candidate with experience in basic laboratory techniques to contribute to joint efforts in characterizing transcription factor binding function in urothelial cancers, and the impact of such identified pathways on clinical outcomes. Candidates must have at minimum a Bachelor's degree and be well trained in the use of cell culture techniques. In addition, the candidate should have training in basic biochemical laboratory techniques (immunoprecipitation, PCR, western blotting, etc). Above all, candidates must have a strong work ethic, superb organizational skills, and a keen attention to detail in order to be successful in this position. This is a fixed term appointment funded one year from date of hire with the possibility of refunding.
