Description

Penn State Altoona seeks a Marketing Communications Specialist to provide creative graphic services and marketing support as part of the college’s Strategic Communications team. Strategic Communications tells the Penn State Altoona stories of student achievement, faculty excellence, staff commitment, and community engagement through print materials, our website, social media, and other tools. The marketing communications specialist will play an important role in promoting Penn State Altoona to prospective and current students by raising awareness of campus programs and activities and enhancing the reputation of Penn State Altoona in our region. Here is what the position looks like: create and coordinate the production of print and digital materials to impact enrollment, alumni engagement, and participation in campus programs and activities; participate in planning communications, marketing strategy, and programs by identifying communications needs; partner with University offices, faculty, staff, and students to create materials; coordinate projects with suppliers, vendors, and other University offices; maintain and distribute a calendar of projects, timelines, and deadlines; collaborate with Strategic Communications colleagues to plan, implement, and achieve campus and University goals and outcomes. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite required. Additional years of experience with designing electronic and print materials for communications or marketing preferred. Familiarity with new and emerging media, experience in higher education, and the ability to balance creativity with established brand guidelines also preferred. Interested?
