Description

The Center for Health Care and Policy Research (CHCPR) is seeking candidates for a staff research job as a Research Technologist 4. Primary responsibilities of this position include collaborating with senior researchers in designing, planning, and implementing research projects, developing data collection instruments and processes, conducting primary data collection, organizing and synthesizing data, conducting quantitative, qualitative, and/or mixed-method data analysis, and authoring/co-authoring written research products. The position will also have general project management and coordination responsibilities, including establishing collaborative relationships, developing workflow processes, ensuring compliance with Institutional Review Board requirements, and assisting with daily operations of specific projects. Additionally this position involves supervising and directing the work of Center staff. This position may also coordinate administrative, financial, personnel, and planning aspects of projects and monitor expenditures of funds and grants. Some travel may be required. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher (Master's degree preferred) or higher plus ten years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in social science research and skills in quantitative and/or qualitative analysis required and knowledge of the U.S. health care system is preferred. Experience in teaching is a plus. The successful candidate should have project management and coordination skills, be a self-starter, have highly-developed organizational and information-processing skills, possess strong communication skills, have the ability to work both independently and closely with other team members, and demonstrate excellent attention to detail and deadlines. This is a fixed-term position funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
