The Laboratory of Developmental Neuroscience in the Department of Psychology ( has an opening for a Programmer/Analyst to join our educational game development team. We are developing an educational game that is designed to help adolescents with autism learn social skills. This is a great opportunity to develop a game that may have positive real-world outcomes that changes people’s lives. The ideal candidate will be an innovative and critical thinker, with strong people skills, and lots of creativity. We are looking for someone who is passionate about making games and who is excited to change the world in the process. Responsibilities include collaborating with team to complete game code. Iteratively implement changes based on the researchers’ feedback and usability testing. Manage post-launch support of game for families of adolescents with autism during intervention testing. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Specifically, for this job the following are required: a degree in computer science, game design, or related discipline; multiple years of experience in a game development role; experience programming in C#; ability to work within and add to an established code framework; and able to communicate well with programming and other personnel. In addition, these skills are strongly preferred: experience working in Unity for personal, professional, or educational projects; knowledge of 3D graphics, animation, lighting, and camera control; and interest in working with families with autism.
