Description

Prepare salads, salad dressings, appetizers, cold soups, cold sandwiches, cold entrees, relishes, sauces, fruit cup and cold fruit desserts, and cheese. Confer with supervisor to develop work plans for each day. Obtain materials from storeroom. Place leftovers in refrigerator. Clean and prepare necessary items, such as vegetables, seafood, eggs, pasta, etc. Clean equipment and utensils used, such as mixers, choppers, slicers, toasters, tables, sinks, scales, refrigerators, pans, coffee and beverage equipment. Bake off pies, which includes placing pies in oven, setting temperature and removing at proper time. Prepare coffee, tea, and other beverages. Place desserts, appetizers, and salads on serving dishes and apply necessary garnish. Place food on serving dishes for banquets. Job Requirements: Requires the use of commercial English, grammar and arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, including decimals and fractions; simple use of formulas, charts, tables, drawings, specifications, schedules, wiring diagrams, together with the use of adjustable measuring instruments, graduates and the like requiring interpretation in their various applications; or the posting, preparation, interpretation, use and checking of reports, forms, records and comparable data.
