Description

The Penn State World Campus is seeking a progressive thinking Analyst to join our team. The Penn State World Campus is one of the leading providers of online higher education in the United States with over 20,000 students studying in its nationally ranked academic degree programs. The World Campus is fully integrated into Penn State using the same faculty and academic curriculum as that is used in resident study. This financial analyst role will provide leadership, discovery, development and implementation for financial and business process efficiency and innovation with a primary focus on process improvement and improved resource utilization to facilitate scalability and cost efficiency. In addition, this position will assist in developing, analyzing, and reporting of World Campus financial performance and assist with the creation and analysis of ad hoc analysis required to support strategic business decisions. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate will possess a high degree of financial acumen and possess excellent collaborative and communication skills in order to interact with and lead cross-functional teams and communicate directly with leadership. The candidate must be to perform complex financial analysis within Microsoft Excel and preferably have experience using Access/SQL, Oracle BI and/or other reporting and programming tools utilized as part of University technology architecture. Some programming technical skills to enable and assist with small application development and/or complex queries is a plus.
