The Department of Biobehavioral Health (BBH) in the College of Health and Human Development (HHD) invites applications for a full-time (48 week), non-tenure track Assistant Teaching Professor position for its online and residential undergraduate degree programs. The individual who fills this role will instruct up to nine sections of BBH course offerings per year (up to three courses per semester in fall, spring, and summer) both online and on campus. Depending on teaching load during a given semester/year, the individual hired for this position will also engage in other program development and service initiatives, including (but not limited to): development of additional course offerings; assisting with and performing online course maintenance and improvement tasks; engaging in and/or leading initiatives to build community among students; and collaborating with a broad range of BBH departmental faculty and staff on departmental service tasks. The desired candidate will hold a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Biobehavioral Health or a related field, including (but not limited to) public health, psychology, or the biological sciences. Instructional experience in areas related to BBH is strongly preferred, as is experience with online and face-to-face instruction. The individual must be able to work effectively with diverse populations and audiences. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. An attractive benefits package is available.
