Penn State Behrend invites applications for a non-tenure track faculty position in the Mechanical Engineering Technology Department beginning fall, 2019. Teaching assignments will be made in the areas of manufacturing processes, engineering graphics with solid modeling, and mechanical technology computer applications. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to undergraduate education and be able to teach knowledge of CNC and conventional machine tools and basic skills of their operation. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s or Ph.D. degree in mechanical, manufacturing, industrial, or closely related discipline, registration as a professional engineer, prior college-level teaching experience, and five or more of years industrial experience. A practical background in automation, production design, machine tool practices, and DFM/DFA is desired. This is a one-year, fixed-term position eligible for renewal and the salary is competitive.
